Nature really is pretty amazing. We had about a week's worth of rain and cold - including some seriously heavy rain - and still these little sprouts are able to stretch their way through the wet, spring soil.

Last night I wanted to make some version of a Pasta Primavera , and I found this recipe at foodnetwork.com and it was SO good that I just had to pass it on!

I, of course, always make changes, but I was pretty good about staying on-task with this recipe!  I only changed / added the following:

- Used the veggies I had on hand (red and green peppers, carrots, and cherry tomatoes)

- Added a little white wine while sauteing the garlic in oil

- Added some chicken that I sauteed and sliced

Tonight, we headed in a different path.  We threw caution to the low-fat-eating-wind and made bacon cheeseburgers and chocolate malts.  I made some caramelized onions as well and, let me just say, there is nothing like a cheeseburger and a milkshake.  Even better? A homemade cheeseburger and milkshake!
