Day 3: The Peak?

Well it is only 10:40 am and I can already tell you that thoughts of sugar are pretty much preoccupying my mind.  This morning I made an egg for breakfast and ate it open face on a crumpet. Yes, a crumpet.  I found these at my local grocery and they are fat free and, more importantly, sugar free!  The crumpet had a smell though and that was unfortunate when trying to eat.  Anyway, after the egg I immediately felt like I needed something sweet to wash it down.  I just kept drinking my water with lemon and was distracted by 1st and 2nd hour anyway.

For lunch, I ate a left over turkey burger patty, sweet potato fries, and carrots with catalina dressing.  This was find while I was eating it and I kept telling myself "Catalina dressing is sweet, you won't even need any sugar!" But then, while walking back to my classroom, I felt like I needed something sweet.  I need to bring a toothbrush to school because I does help eliminate the craving by brushing my teeth. So today might be the worst day cravings-wise.

I'm planning fish tacos for dinner.... with a slice of fudgey, gooey chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for dessert... mmm.... just kidding!

Have you ever tried Ezekial 4:9 bread? It is pretty good and they make tortillas, english muffins, toast, etc. I don't believe they have added sugar and used sprouted grains, no flour..... www.foodforlife.com. I have switched to it when I started to watch my carb/sugar intake.

I've heard of it - I'll have to look for it at the store and give it a try!
